Purpose: To familiarize students with the structure and function of the human body along with the diseases associated with the human body. To also prepare those who are interested for further specialized study/work in the medical fields.
Course Requirements:
· Laptop
· Folder and Notebook / Three Ring Binder
· Pencil
Assessments:
· Bell ringers
· Inferences/Predictions
· Checkpoint Questions
· Vocab Projects
· Group projects
· Drawings
· Disease Reports
· Labs (dissections)
· Formative Assessments
· Tests
· Term Test
o Can lose points for participation and attitude
Late Work/Retake Policy:
· Homework, Projects, Reports, ect.
o Can be turned in at any point during the term
· Labs, Tests, Quizzes
o Talk to me to schedule a time for you to make up your missing lab, quiz, or test
o Formative Assessments and Unit Tests can be retaken at any time during the term

4. Digestive System
5. Nervous System
6. Circulatory System

Suggestions to Students:
· Do not memorize subject matter just to pass test. Try to understand as much of it as possible. Make practical application of what you learn to the fullest extent.
· Utilize all sources of information available.
o Books
o Computers
o Lab Materials
· Keep a complete and organized notebook including:
o Class notes
o Vocab
o Handouts
o Other Materials
· Participation in class is important. Do not be afraid to ask questions if you are confused or if you are curious.
Class Policies:
· Technology
o No cellphones
o No games on computer
o No headphones while I am talking
· Food and Drink
o No food during class
o Drinks are acceptable
o No drinks or food during labs
· RESPECT
o Do not speak while I am speaking
o Show respect to everyone and the equipment in this classroom
o No swearing, teasing, or name calling
§ You will do push-ups for offensive language
o Be on time
o No going to lockers
§ Bring everything to class everyday
§ Bathroom passes: 1 male and 1 female
§ Cannot leave classroom without pass or phone call
o Follow directions
